Strike for Survival Announces Roger A. McLean as Master of Ceremony
Cary, NC – Katyna Bunn, chairperson for Cary’s Strike for Survival (SFS), a non-profit organization committed to the fight against cancer, announces Roger A. McLean as the master of ceremony for this Saturday’s event. Roger is currently the owner of R. A. McLean and Associates Accounting and Tax Services in Elizabeth City, NC. He is also a top financial agent with Prudential Financial and does financial consulting for colleges and universities. Roger is originally from Robeson County and graduated from North Carolina Central University with a B. S. Degree in Accounting. He is involved with Strike for Survival in honor of his father, Dexter McLean who passed in May 2006 and was born on August 29, 1927, and his wife Wanda who is a cancer survivor. Roger also wishes to inform us that his highest bowling score was a mere 279. Roger and his family members are making a donation of $500 in his father’s honor.
The annual bowling event is scheduled for Saturday, August, 29, 2009, at the AMF South Hills Lanes on Nottingham Drive in Cary. Please get involved by recognizing your business or loved one by becoming a sponsor or volunteer, or by simply joining us for a fun night of bowling.
You can become a sponsor with as little as $100. Tickets are only $25 for adults and $15 for children under 13. Tickets provide two games, pizza, drinks, shoe rental and a raffle ticket! Strike for Survival, headquartered in Raleigh, NC is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization conceived in 2004 by Raleigh business owners who wanted to create an opportunity to give back to the community. It is a fun event where the entire family can participate and the small business is considered a major contributor.
FS has four mission points: To raise money for the American Cancer Society, to allow small business owners to be visibly involved in their community, to help raise the next generation of volunteers and to allow for education and awareness on how to survive cancer. which brand bowling shoe is better: dexter or etonic?
Well, my Linds are about wore out and you can't wear them in PBA competition, I am looking at a pair of Dexter's. Etonic makes too many other shoes and Dexter is more dedicated to bowling footwear. That is the most important piece of equipment you can buy. Be sure to get a pair where you can interchange the sole for sliding. They are not cheap, but well worth it.
