Hammer Black Widow Solid or Storm Gravity Shift?
In the next month or so I'm planning on getting a new bowling ball for a bit heavier bowling conditions; I have a Brunswick Twisted Fury and its awesome but it doesn't open up the lanes like I want it to on the heavier conditions. So I've narrowed my choices down to the Hammer Black Widow Solid and the Storm Gravity Shift. Which do you think would be the best and why?
I have seen the way Tony Reyes bowls with his Black Widow Solid during pro-ams and PBA regionals at our local bowling centers and believe that it is a definite winner. I also have seen PBA regional bowlers using the Storm Gravity Shift as well with amazing results.
I'd put my money on the Storm Gravity Shift because of its radical entry into the pocket, even though you can alter the coverstock of the Black Widow Solid or have it drilled exotically to emulate a sharper entry, but out of the box, Storm looks like it hits harder with more pin action.
I also bowl with Brunswick equipment (Elite PBA Chameleon, Brunswick Red Zone, Brunswick Twisted Fury, Brunswick Ultimate Inferno, Elite Black Label, Elite Gold Label and Brunswick Ultra Zone) but considering other brands, Lane One and Morich also deserve looking into.....
Good luck!
