Let the Magician in Vegas Tell His Story

Las Vegas is the centre of the hub of all activities that involve any form of entertainment. Gaming zones, casinos are splattered all over the city which is alive with the hustle and bustle of tourists from all over the world, the whole year round. For a magician in Vegas to perform at one of the greatest magic shows held here at the Green Isles in Las Vegas is a matter of high importance. The magic shows aren’t only about optical illusions designed to fool the audience instead they are more based on a format of a variety show where every act is different from another keeping the audience entertained with a wide variety of magical personalities and type.

Most of the magical performances given by a magician in Vegas comprise of a team of seven to ten magicians that rotate their turns between the magicians who are regulars and the ones who are featured magicians. The audience is kept unaware of what is going to happen next on stage and that is what makes up the magic trick. One such magician in Vegas is Dirk Losander who stands out among the league of professional magicians, and is known to give regular performances at the Greek Isles Hotel in Las Vegas. He has the ability to animate the handkerchiefs in an amazing manner that leaves the audience applauding hard even long after his act. His magical act comprises of the ever astounding levitation performance involving lifting a torch, a member from the audience or even a table that is always a showstopper at any event.

Such a talented magician in Vegas is not hard to find as the City of Lights is crawling with magicians of the utmost skills. Illusions are practiced by the such a magician in Vegas like that of drawing a bowling ball on a writing pad and turning the piece of paper upside down to drop an actual bowling ball that hits the floor of the stage with a loud ‘clunk’ that leaves the audience stupefied with amazement. Magical acts such as these are put up all over the city to entertain the tourists. These performances include comedy such as cooking cakes in shoes, sleight of hands and other amazing tricks. Every magician in Vegas works hard along with his team to win the Show of The Year award that adds a feather to the magicians cap and boasts of achievement in the magician’s circle.

One of the most famous spots especially for a magician in Vegas, for putting up magical performances, is the Greek Isles hotel. It has a capacity for four hundred people and the lighting and sound system is superb maybe because it was designed by the famous Debbie Reynolds when she owned the hotel. Children aged less than twelve are allowed inside free of charge. Whereas, adults’ tickets cost around 25 dollars each for the general seating arrangement and 50 dollars for the VIP arena which includes a dinner after the show.

Bowling questions: Is it possible to make your ball's direction 'curl' when you bowl?

I attempted bowling beside some seniors and noticed they don't just roll the ball down on a straight line (like me), but instead, they bowl their balls to be a bit near the edge when it gets to the middle, but it eventually 'curl' to the center and manage to hit, most of the time, everything.

At first I thought it was an illusion but I watched them for a couple games and I'm sure their balls are changing directions.

Hopefully that made sense..
How are they doing that?

It's call "hooking the ball", where the motion of the fingers steering the ball towards the pins combined with the now very aggressive coverstocks and shape of the ball's core will make the ball move across numerous boards (the lane) in a manner that looks very cool and very much physically possible.

I have a style where I stand on the left side of the approach (on dry lane conditions), deliver it to about 3 boards from the right gutter in the center of the lane and the ball will find it's way back to the pins (1-3 pocket) by way of a hook that looks like a huge arc.

Hope it helps!
